Right now Italy's FATHER MURPHY is on tour with Xiu Xiu, but we've corralled them into an Allston basement for an evening so that they may share with us their medeival "rock" sounds that recall noise rock at one moment, Gregorian chanting at the next, and at other moments goth rock and Tuvan throat singing. Really singular sounds happening here. The mighty NEPTUNE, just back from a European tour, and with a new record out on Northern Spy bring their    haunting minimalistic soundscapes to the Butcher Shoppe as well.
